Whether lounging by the pool, enjoying the view from your patio or sitting quietly on a rock looking into the valley, Iketla is the perfect spot to relax and unwind.
The unspoilt bush and indigenous forests are a haven for more than 200 bird species.
We offer an introduction to the art of archery. We have some 3D targets available at Iketla and you may practise your shooting abilities with a cross-bow or get a lesson with a compound bow. This needs to be arranged with management and will be charged as an extra. Please enquire at reception about starting times and rates.
You are welcome to explore the bush on your own. Trails are well marked, safe and vary in difficulty and distance. Routes are colour coded so that you easily decide on the distance, time and relative difficulty
Iketla now also offers horseback rides to those that would like to experience the bush in a different way. Horse riding is subject to weather conditions and will only be available when all horses are fit and healthy. During the months of June and July, the horses will have their annual immunisation against African Horse Sickness, and no riding will take place in those months. Guests need to proof that their travel insurance covers horse riding abroad and they will sign an indemnity form to this respect before riding. Horse riding will be available at an extra cost and needs to be booked at reception. Management will be able to assist with rates applicable. Maximum weight limit will be at 90kg with the youngest age allowed to ride only at 10years old. Horses at Iketla is not trained to do pony rides or Beginner rides, but can do Novice, Intermediate and Advanced rides.
